Installing a label printer is a difficult task for many. With this article, we want to show that it can be done by anyone with minimal knowledge.
So. Thank you for buying a printer from us :) All you have to do is follow the prepared instructions below and successfully prepare your label printer for work
Unpack the printer and connect it to the power supply and to the computer via the USB connection.
Install the printer driver. You can download it from the manufacturer's website, or use the universal Seagull driver by searching the Internet. For example for Godex printer G500: https://www.seagullscientific.com/downloads/printer-drivers/godex-g500/
Insert the labels and, if necessary, the ribbon into the printer. You can find instructions on how to insert it correctly on the inside of the printer cover or in the instructions in the printer box.
Calibrate the printer. Most printers are calibrated identically. a) The printer is turned off, we press the "feed" button, hold it and turn on the printer. When the signal sounds, release the "feed" button. The printer will eject several stickers and store the sticker height in memory. (If you can't do it according to this instruction, use the search with the keywords: your printer model + calibration)
Create a format for the label paper you are using. You can do this by going to Start --> Settings --> Devices -- Printers --> Select the installed printer --> Manage --> Print Settings --> Page Setup. We press "New" and indicate which dimensions you use. For example 105x150mm
Here is your printer ready for work. All you have to do is select this created paper size each time you print a sticker.
